Musubi

This stool was inspired by the word Musubi. Musubi is an ancient Japanese Shinto concept, and it is the idea that things and life are formed by connecting various things. When not in use, it can be folded up for compact storage. It can be easily assembled by simply inserting the parts without using nails or screws.

The hooks of the freestanding coat rack rotate 360 degrees, which eases the hanging of clothes and accessories. Rounded forms improve safety for children. The shapes are drawn from leaves and dewdrops, and dewdrop elements act as hanging points.

The kitchen island is formed by two geometric blocks inspired by petals, supporting cooking and social use. The L shaped walk in closet uses arc shaped corner cabinets and zoned storage to improve space use.
