Lotus is a guest chair designed to bring forth a translation of traditional Ming Dynasty chair design for a modern space. The design was inspired by a Ming Dynasty folding chair that was created to allow high-class generals to maintain a gesture of status during an outing. There's a Chinese idiom that describes the growth of a lotus flower, out of the mud yet unstained. Kindness, warmth, generosity, and pureness of heart are all emotions the chair hopes to convey.

In some Mesoamerican cultures, ornaments had ritual and religious significance. In addition, they often had a similar silhouette in the form of an inverted crescent moon. Therefore, this form formed the basis. The lamps have a characteristic gold color and are framed on both sides by glass with polygonal ornaments. Numerous facets refract the luminous flux and create spectacular glare. This symbolizes the gems that adorned jewelry.

Continue readingHone shelf is a timeless and magnetic design inspired by natural forms, and arises as a reinterpretation of a traditional shelf through a conceptual alteration of the physical properties of the material. In this way, the solid wood becomes elastic in a conceptual way. By doing so, the vertical supports stretch outwards isolating the horizontal planes, giving movement to the whole piece and promoting load transmission. The aim is to highlight the organic essence of the piece, its living personality and to contrast the strength of its mass with the lightness and subtle contact with the ground.
