The design team endows the four most frequently touched objects in the bedroom, mattress, electric bedstead, bed gate and pillow, with functions that help improve sleep, so that users can lie down in a way that fits body curve. The reason why it stands out is that the cooperation between the functions of various components strengthens the interconnectedness of the entire system.

It draws inspiration from the passions of the designer, her academic background and from artists who mastered color and light. Emphasizing its expressive element, color, it compels people to see colors in new ways combining emotions with forms and blending art and design. The lamp works with an e27 chrome lamp socket covered by the opalescent acrylic that works as a diffuser and creates a graphic effect.

A Hexa is one-third of a full hexagon. This division increases the ability of Hexa in the variety of compositions and expansion. The form of the design follows a geometric pattern that is inspired by "Girih" and "miniature"; in traditional Iranian architectural decorations.

Continue readingScacco Matto draws inspiration from the 1960s radical design movement and invites audiences to explore and interact with shapes and light. Featuring three magnetically connected elements, the portable lamp can be transformed in five different light sculptures, to inspire a new interest in the role light plays in transforming the look, feel, and atmosphere of homes. It can be used as a vase, sculpture or to focus light on a particular area. The five possible combinations are reminiscent of chess, hence the name Scacco Matto, the Italian translation of checkmate.
