Animal

Animal is a convertible seat designed for children. The design takes the form of a small animal, with three legs and a tail that also serves as a backrest. A simple structure allows Animal to be switched between two forms, so the seat can be used as a child's chair or as a backless seat. The three legs are arranged in an equilateral triangle and extend beyond the edge of the seat surface, which gives the piece a high level of stability. Animal is made of plastic by blow molding. Balustrade is a chair designed for short and temporary rest. The design is inspired by unconscious behaviour, such as leaning on a table or against a balustrade. Balustrade offers two sitting positions. The first is sitting directly on the top, like a chair. The second is a leaning posture, like leaning on a railing. The form is simple, and the intent is brief use rather than long comfort. Several units can be overlapped to reduce transport volume. The chair measures 620 by 385 by 720 millimetres.
